use a tongs- but mind you dont burn your chestnuts

Reply:very carefully ...your best bet is to do them under the grill or if ou are doing them on the fire put them in a wire basket like you have in your chip pan

Next time place pierced side on baking tray so they don't dry and roast in the oven.
