HAIR COLOR Help???
it probably wont do much as it is so dark, you may have to bleach you hair or something before redying it, go to the hairdressers and they can give you advice and maybe you could get it done there, or you might be able to find a hairdressers or someone you can email online to give you advice.but if you do have to redye (especially if you have to bleach it) it then use lots of deep conditioning creams and dont straighten it for a while as it could get dry and damaged also i would wait a while before dying it as your hair might get dye overload! good luck!

Reply:I have dyed my hair sooo many times in my life I can't count. The thing is when you dye your hair darker, you're kinda stuck with it. Also, you can't keep dying your hair so often. Your hair will die (Not that it's alive or anything). The best thing to do is:

1. Wait. The color WILL fade over time. Just stick it out for a month or so.

2. Strip it. You can buy a stripper (No, not that kind!) at a beauty supply store (I usually go to Sallys). The people working there should be able to help you figure out what you need to do. They are always so helpful

3. And just a word of advice: Don't put ANY reddish color in your hair. It will NEVER come out. I haven't put any red color in my hair in a few years and it still shows through. I hate it.
Reply:I don't think it will change much since the chestnut has more of a gold than red tone.
Reply:I would not bleach it, strip it or dye it again right now. Even though you said you hair is silky, too much dye is not good for your hair or for your scalp. John Frieda makes shampoo and conditioner for brunettes. It's called Brilliant Brunette. It will brighten up your dark hair and bring out highlights. You might want to try his color glaze as well, it's like a toner that will bring out warm tones in your hair. That is my suggestion. I have blonde hair and use his Sheer Blonde line. I love it and have used it for several years. I rarely color my hair b/c the shampoo and conditioner is so good. : ) Good Luck!

Reply:wait for a while because to much chemicals in your hair will cause bad damage to scalp and hair and your hair will fall out
Reply:Yeah, thankfully dark dyes don't damage nearly as much. It may not lighten though. It depends on the the intended use of the dye you bought. Is it for light or dark hair. Try the John Freida tinting shampoo. You can use it for as much or as little tint as you want. You should be ok to use your dye though.
Reply:I would bleach it first!
