Dying black hair???

hi

my hair iz black well not black its dark brown....

i tried various ways to colour my hair 2 chestnut brown or somfin lighter than blak.....

would any 1 prefer any good hair dye company for me ???

i tried da clairol chestnut brown,it doesnt work its makin my hair more darker....

can any 1 plz help me????

i prefer not using hair bleach .........

it,s very hard to dye hair lighter the best thing is to go to a salon and tell them you don,t want bleach they might have a suggestion on how to do it
Reply:Best thing to do is go to a good beauty salon and let them decide .(mind you ,i said a good salon) they will be able to do it for you .They will tell you how to keep it up .
Reply:Hi im gald you are not trying to bleach it out as i have done this loads of times in the past and you end up with a worse result than you had in the first place. Have you tried the Feria lightening for dark hair. They are brilliant and it doesn got orange either. Ifs got the before and after on the box in a little area on the box, So it should be easier to find. Also Loreal expertese I think it is do one as well and that is hust as good. Claroil always go on dark i dont use these if i can help it unless i want to cover bleach.



Try these and see if you can lighten your hair. but i wouldnt use anymore if the feria or loreal doesnt work as you will jst damage your hair. Your dark brown hair colour will fade eventually it just takes time.
Reply:you need to slowly take your colour up to what you want. lighter colours each time you die it.x
Reply:i have tried lots to get rid of my black hair than i just relized why fight it. now i die my hair midnight instead of my natural black so i have more shine. for black hair plz take my advice go to a salon...unless you want red or orange fried hair. belive me save your money and wait u will not regret it.

Reply:I wouldn't recommend a diy for this. A professional colorist can tell you exactly what will work and with no mistakes.
Reply:It is very hard to get your hair lighter when it's dark,i dyed ,my hair black and nothing will get it lighter,and im like you,i prefer not to use bleach.Bleach will be the only thing that will get it lighter,like highlights.The only other colour that would go over it is red and you can choose lots of different shades of red.
