5. chop them up, mixed with mashed tofu, season with salt, pepper, sesame oil to make the wonton filling or Siew Mai (steamed chinese dim sum) etc, so you have a little of crunchiness there.



I love to eat them raw, make thai dessert and the water chestnut and sugar can drink. :)
Reply:Yes, sliced, in stir-fry, along with: sliced bamboo shoots, young corn spears, noodles, snow peas, sliced carrot, rice vinegar, soy sauce, black bean sauce, hoi sin sauce, chilli sauce, mustard sauce, sesame oil, bean shoots, minced coriander, kaffir lime leaf and maybe one or two other ingredients.
Reply:Yes, I like them. They don't have much flavor, but the texture is good. When added to vegetable stir fry over lo mein noodles, they add an interesting flair to the dish. I cannot eat those dishes anymore since they have stir fry sauce and soy sauce, because they contain gluten and I was just diagnosed with Celiac Disease.
