I like to make an X on the chestnut with a knife and then bake or roast it. You can also boil chestnuts.
Reply:You roast chestnuts, some folk do it on an open fire but that is risky, do it on the bbq. They sell hot roasted chestnuts in London in small paper bags. You can also roast them in the oven, and make chestnut paste. Of course you roast them with the skin on.
