What do you think of saddles that are chestnut w/ black knee roles and seats?

What do you think of saddles that are chestnut w/ black knee roles and seats?
I think thye look ridiculus. no offense. I prefer either a brown saddle or a black saddle solidly on color, although I love my western Abetta that is black with pink trim. Personally, I just dont like the brown black combo.
Reply:i do not like them... and they are generally not excepted in show rings as being sylish... especially in hack... if you just want it for pleasure and you like it... sure... but its not something i like or would buy...well thats my opinion
Reply:They are pretty nasty looking - sorry!. Look on ebay for demo saddles from Horseloverz. I bid on a Collegiate $1000 demo saddle from them, got it for $450 and it's never even been used, just has a slightly small scuff on the cantle which I covered with polish. There's also a place called Rick's Heritage Saddlery in PA and they sell a lot of demo saddles in near perfect condition from about $350 for an $800 saddle

Reply:I think it looks like a cheap, Indian tannery saddle that is low quality. So, basically it looks like exactly what it is. In a hunter ring, there's no way that saddle would fly for a good ranking in the ribbons.

Reply:It looks OK from a distance, but it is obviously an inexpensively made saddle. There wasn't even a name brand on it. It would be suitable for someone only showing local shows or as a training saddle. It is always better to sit in a saddle before purchasing it. Then, if the price is too high you can look for the same saddle on sale somewhere else.

It is usually a better idea to buy a used quality saddle than a new cheap saddle.
Reply:*raises eyebrow* no offense YUCK you can get a saddle from stateline tack or valleyvet or even jeffers get a saddle package with a good saddle for about $120 that includes the bridle bit, saddle, irons, leathers, girth
