They told me my new hair colour was chestnut brown,its bloody black?
Brought a multi-light kit from asda, which stated that it lightens your hair a few shades. I ended up looking like a tiger with bright orange strips running through my hair. It wasnt very even either and was a messy job.
Reply:a few weeks after giving birth i started loosing hair either side of my head above my ears, i looked like coco the damn clown!

after 6 months of wearing hats and wide headbands, it grew back, but i was scared at one point, i thought i would loose the whole lot (i can laugh about it now)
Reply:Don't worry the colour will lighten. My worst was when I decided to go from light to dark blonde but the poncie hairdresser should have put a toner on beforehand and it had a light green tint to it.
Reply:the worst think i would be hear all day if i told you everything that has happened to my hair,once i had extentions sewn in with black cotton my hair ws blonde,i wanted a wavy look so they decided to put a perm on they did they put 3 lots on it would not dry,it looked like wet rope,i had to go home like i as i had been in the hairdresses 10 hrs,as my hair dried it tighter to my head,so i asked my friend to take them out,my hair had shriveled up,about 2 inch long just a mass of frizz,oh before i took them out i went back to the hairdresses they cut it told me i looked much better,on the way home all the lorry drivers were pipping i was flattered,until i was told i looked like a transvestite a barbie doll,claimed ￡2500 of them,i had to wear a wig for a year,that is only one of my bad experiences,if you want to get your hair lighter keek washing it in washpowder and conditioner it will lighten it been ther lol,or you can have a colour strip on but have it done at a good hairdresses,

YEA when i went to Marine boot camp at the Barbe shop.i ask them just Little off the top.

BAM . AND, They cut all my hair off in 9 seconds.

Reply:I went to dye it blonde they told me the salon had "bad lighting" and I looked carrot orange. Also once I dyed my hair a light brown at home (clairol herbal essences) and it turned my hair pitch black!
Reply:you know what? I like black hair on a woman more than any other color. So perhaps you'll find others like you this way even better.
Reply:got it dyed blonde, turned out green...i didnt complain. looked good for a while.
Reply:i got a really bad highlight job and it had to stay like that for like a year, blonde does not look good on black, omg i looked like a freak
Reply:I went to a whole different salon and i told them to cut my hair to my shoulders and they cut it to my mouth. it was the laughing stock of the school. also with really bad highlights!!!

Reply:a girl who cut my hair before made it look really great. So I asked her to cut it short and I looked like a freak for the next two months.
Reply:They may be colour blind, if you like it and are happy thats whats counts.
Reply:i went to salon with my mom once and they gave me a free rinse. the streaked my hair red! but i like it.
Reply:Yes this always happens It says light brown on the box and you turn out like Mortica! AAAARRRGH!



You could try washing your hair with Head and Shoulders, this will strip some of the excess colour out for you.

Reply:Give it a little time. Chestnut is very dark with reddish highlights. I love the color but you have to get used to it and let it fade a little. Make sure to use a good conditioner, never rub to dry but pat and squeeze to keep the shine and always rinse in cool water to close the cuticles and protect the shine. Give yourself a little time.

I tried to highlight it and ended up with orange and yellow hair...had to dye it brown. It was really awful...leave yours alone. Please.
Reply:That's y I don't let people touch my hair without a friend watching over the stylist. They never screwed up my hair, but they gave my sister a mullet when we were kids. She cried for days and wore a hat the entire summer.
Reply:I asked the person to give me a trim, and she cut off like a foot of it! It was rele stupid and then I had to wear my hair in a ponytail forever to grow it bak (it looked to horrible to have it out). Another time I asked the lady to give me more layers near the front and she completely goes and cuts off most of it and says, "Now you have bangs" and then i also asked her to make my hair look thinner near the bottom (i have rele thick hair and it looks terrible when it's not thin near the bottom) and she goes and gives me layers so that the bottom is a lot thicker than the top! darn those haircutters. why do we say that we want something if they're going to go ahead and do what they want?
Reply:they dyed my hair blonde when i told them black...it sucked cuz it was like 300 dollars.

Reply:I have curly hair and the last time I got it cut. I asked the lady beforehand, "Seriously, are you good at cutting curly hair because if not just please tell me, I'll still give you the ten bucks." Then she said, "Of course." So I let her cut my hair... that whore didn't know what she was doing... I'm still trying to grow it out. Ugh. I hate people.
Reply:I got a "wave" supposed to make soft, curls in my hair.

Reply:Pretty much when I cut it really short for the first time after having had it really long, and I told them not to do it too short, but when they were done I looked like a boy with a terrible uneven haircut and boobs.

Reply:Hi it wont be black, I have had my hair dyed to what I thought was black until I actually did dye my hair black and then you can really tell the difference. Even if its a permenant if will have faded if you keep washing it in about a week.

There is loads,

1 but my worse one was trying to bleach it out with a dark hair colour on after years of dyeing it I wanted to go light like I had it once before but because of too much colour build up, I ended up with pure white roots, orange lengths and brown tips, and I used the strongest peroxide there was. which is why my roots went white.



2 similar to the first one, but I wanted the top blonde and the underneath black. I sceptial that the blonde woulldnt go blonde because I had been dyeing it loads again, I was going to keep the black dye in case the blonde didnt work but I was told that I have to do the black first so me not thinking wacked on the black, then did the blonde, but this time I waws recommended by my brothers girl friend to keep putting blonde hair dyes one as it lightend hers, instead of using bleach, so after 5 hair dyes and a honey brassy top half of my hair and a very sore scalp, I didnt have no chioce but to put a proper bleach on, It was the worse pain ever, my scalp was really sore and blistering as I sat there I was even crying with pain, I only left it on for 5 min my scalp was red hot after washing if of, even though the bleach wasnt on for that long my roots at the top of my head was grey and parts were blue as all the colour of my natural hair had completly gone. lol as in bleach I mean Bblonde hair lightener.



I spend weeks trying to cover the black and the orange and blonde patchy mess on my head, and no colour even very dark brown almost black would cover the underneath black colour, which is why I said that you wont realise how black black really is lol



There has been other mistakes and my hair is now paying for it big style so im letting it grow out now. I havent seen my own hair colour since I was 13, i am now 20 lol
