If youre doing it yourself then it WILL turn ginger! Trust me its happened to me before. Its best to get it done professionaly then you can be sure it will go the right colour. If you keep puttng blonde dye on your hair at home it will eventually turn blonde, but that means it will be ginger for a couple of months - 6 weeks between each colouring or your hair will snap.
Reply:Don't do it! Firstly you didn't say whether your hair is naturally chestnut brown which of course will make a difference. If your hair is naturally that colour, it should be OK although going from red to ash is expecting a lot. If your hair is coloured chestnut brown then don't even attempt it - it will be a disaster and definitely a job for the hairdresser.
Reply:yes you can it will take away the rusty co lour
Reply:you could buy another do it yourself dyer which last for 6-8 hair wash, they are foams and easy to use BUT it has to be more more darker than your hair became now...blond is better done by hair dresser, because it can turn into green as well

good luck,i'm with You
Reply:You can't dye brown hair without bleach. I would wait until you can get a hairdresser otherwise you're risking it going orange.
Reply:I would not do it yourself I am a cosmetology student if you don't know what you are doing then please don't mess your hair up!!! I don't understand if you are putting an all over color on or highlights the highlights are not easy to do and the all over color would not work. if you are trying to go lighter then I would just put bleach on it and then color it. If you go to the store they have boxed colors they are not good for your hair but they are easy to use!! Good luck and please don't ruin your hair!
