I was just wondering what colour equipment i should get my my redish brownish chesnut horse
What Colour would go good with a redish chestnut horse?
Your best bet for a pretty deeply red chestnut would be darker colors. Your tack should be a deeper brown or dark chestnut color. Anything light or really red will clash horribly. As for blankets and such i have found that navy or royal blue looks good. Basically anything but red actually looks good. Greens and purples can look nice too. Look at catalogs and see what colors they put on the horses in them and see if they match the color of your horse and go by that.
Reply:dark red look
Reply:1st I looked up Colour and couldn't find it in the dictionary the word is COLOR. 1st I thought you were going to make a drink called horse. But you meant color and not (Colour). You sure you weren't thinking of a drink.
But what color comes to mind is red/black (shinny), deep brown or a deep mahogany.
Reply:Hmm i have a red/chestnut horse myself. i use any color from reds, to dark browns, to hot pink, and royal blue. The only bad color seems to be purple, lime green, orange and yellow. hehe they clash with his fur. Hope this helps
Reply:Lime green, light purple, royal blue or dark red look cute on that color horse. Or you could have a white pad with trim, and really fancy colored polos. Thats my personal preference. I have a black and white paint and we use a black saddle pad with either maroon or yellow polos. That is if you even jump or not.
Reply:Dark green of grey
Reply:burgundy is good if you want a subtle color.
teal/ blues/ greens look great. the darker the more subtle. the more medium hues "pop".
stay away from reds/ pinks/ purples. red colors again reddish fur does not look good.

Reply:Even though black isn't really considered a color choice I like it on red/chestnut horses. Either black or a navy blue. Thats just my opinion :]
Reply:black or purple
Reply:WHITE
Reply:The best colour on a chestnut is actually black - it really sets them off - black tack, boots and all really looks good. otherwise dark colours such as hunter green or navy blue look quite good. Nothing reddish, orange or yellow ( they just clash and look awful)
Reply:Dark Pink
Reply:Green.
Reply:like a light brown tack set
Reply:I like a nice, rich Kelly Green on a chestnut.
