Where can I get chinese chestnuts?

I had some chinese chestnuts one time. They taste so good. I was looking for a store that sells them, but can't find any. I was wondering if there is any stores that sells such import foods.

Reply:depends on where you are. if you are in southeast asia, it's usually available when christmas is near about october to december. if you're in the usa, everything is available there even canned chestnuts.
Reply:most major grocery stores carry them in the ethnic food aisle. you can also find them mixed with other vegetables in the frozen food aisle.
Reply:If you are talking about water chestnuts most supermarkets carry them as does walmart. Try the ethnic foods section. I think lachoy is a good name brand.
Reply:yep, even wal-mart has the water chestnuts. they are under the asian foods section, in the supermarkets. and are in small cans.
Reply:almost all major grociers have an ethnic isle, but you would be ammazed how many items like this are in dollar stores they mostly stock odd items that are hard to sell because they get them cheap to keep them from comming out of date or because they are off brands and dont sell as well as major brands, I think many of these items are better taseing for example the dollar general creamy mac and cheese is alot better than even kraft brand.
