I thought baby blue.
What do you think?
What colour looks best on a chestnut gelding?
Hobby Horse clothing has a color wheel that shows what colors work best on different colors of horses. Chestnuts would fall under the "redhead" group and would look best in earthtones such as tan, sand, whiskey, etc. or in neutrals such as black, green, blue.
Reply:blues and greens
Reply:Green is definatly a good colour for chesnuts, i dont like red on them - baby blue may be ok - royal blue or navy would be better though!
Reply:Baby blue would be nice and i also tink that a dark emerald green colour would be nice or white for showing! :)
Hope this helps!!

Reply:either a emerald or a forest green. I used to show my tb gelding it a forest green square pad (jumpers) and I got so many compliments on the color contrast. He was a sunshine chestnut with 4 white legs.
Reply:Dark green or white
Reply:Well if I compare it to a red-headed friend of mine - green, cream and shades of brown and terracotta and orange!
Reply:Dark green.
Nothing quite like a chestnut horse with dark green saddle pad and bandages! Looks very smart.
I have a Spotted Dun and I think she will have to be in boring white!
Reply:i think lime green or dark purple would look good on a chestnut! i have dark blue, but it dont look that good so i got lime green for her.r u talking about show colors?
Reply:red looks really nice on chestnuts... you should try it!!
Reply:Emma: How old a rider are you??? The younger set can get by with a little flashier color.
Reply:The color that would look AWESOME on your horse would be a semi-dark purple or a very bright lime green. Those colors would bring out your horses beautiful coat color.
Reply:Black looks great, so does white.
Wouldn't touch red ( it'll clash)
Reply:My chestnut gelding has hunter green, looks great on chestnuts.
Hope this helped
Reply:if you have friends that have different colors you could try that. but i think that baby blue or racing green would look nice. hope this helps.
Reply:Red might be nice.
Reply:Blues are pretty on them. I have a peachy orange color for my chestnut.
Reply:Red or a deep navy blue.
Reply:racing green
Reply:Red can look really flashy but honestly I like white best.
Reply:My horses are all chestnuts. Lady wears dark blue, but she's a darker chestnut. Jazzy's a lighter chestnut and she wears dark green. Willy is pretty in the middle and he wears black. All of them look good. So does red, but a lot of chestnuts wear red because thats the most neutral color for horses. %26amp;%26amp;Chesnuts are really hard to find colors for too. Good luck!!!
Reply:Zebra print looks awesome on them. xD
You can buy both english and western zebra pads, zebra halters, zebra half-chaps, and even zebra helmet covers.
My daughter is obsessed with zebra stuff, so that's why I know this. ;D
Reply:Heya
Red looks really nice on chestnuts. Or a real royal blue. I dont think pastel colours do much for many horse colours. xxx

Reply:Definatly GREEN.
Reply:Red! Bold, regal, bright, and dashing.
