If I dye my natural blonde hair chestnut brown, will I be taken more seriously?

I'm not bothered about 'being taken' seriously by guys as they all do my head in (even my current BF who has recently turned a bit male 'bunny boiler' on me), I mean for work purposes - I'm studying hair and beauty?

I think attitude is more important than hair color but there have been studies that say darker haired woman are taken more seriously or are more intelligent. I have dark brown hair and very light skin and I've been told the contrast is amazing, have you thought about going darker?
